Austin Oracle User Group May Meeting on Friday

Our next meeting is May 15th from 11 - 1 at Oracle office.

Our first presentation "EBS 12.2 upgrades" by Mihir Patel from SmartDog Services.

Abstract:
Are you considering an upgrade to EBS 12.2 or wondering why you should upgrade? In this session, learn what¿s involved in the upgrade process, and what you can do today to prepare. In addition, the session explores the impact the new edition based redefinition and online patching will have on custom code and outage windows for maintenance.
Attendees will also learn about things to avoid, potential impact on Oracle licensing and related planning items.

Our second presentation will be "What happens in the Cloud stays in the Cloud" by Lakshmi Sampath, ERP Cloud Evangelist, Oracle.

This presentation will provide a high level overview of the various co-existence strategies available with Oracle ERP Cloud and Oracle EBS/Peoplesoft and the comparison of cloud vs on-premise systems. The co-existence strategies covered will include Fusion Accounting Hub Reporting Cloud Service (FAHRCS), Revenue Management, Fusion Accounting Hub, Product Hub, Customer Hub, Distributed Order Orchestration and so on. In addition, attendees will learn all they need to know about PaaS (Platform as a Service), IaaS (Infrastructure as a service) and SaaS (Software as a Service) and also about Private vs Public cloud.

As a Bonus, come and see a live demo on Oracle BIMAD (BI Mobile Application Designer) - a tool available with Oracle Fusion Applications. Attendees will witness not only how to create a new BI mobile application from scratch but also how to use your QR Code scanner and view the Mobile Application.
