Title: Making Big Data Analytics Accessible
Abstract: Analytics is rapidly evolving as a primary basis to compete and perform in increasingly competitive business environments. We have witnessed the benefits of an analytic culture in the serial excellence demonstrated by many professional sports teams and in new age consumer oriented businesses. At one end of the spectrum, the ability to harness massive volumes of extensive data and perform complex statistical processing to empower decision making and optimize operational processes is deemed a luxury available only to companies that could deploy hundreds of software programmers to the task. At the other end of the spectrum, analytic silos are created with data scientists forced to work on small data samples using incumbent tools resulting in fragmented and less effective decision making. In this presentation, I will talk about how Oracle Advanced Analytics empowers Enterprise data scientists and business analysts to work directly and efficiently with massive data volumes, with a broad range of mathematical techniques that can exploit massive distributed compute infrastructures efficiently, using an environment they are familiar with, available at their disposal so they can focus more on analysis problems and less on data access or infrastructure issues. The work we are doing has made Big Data Analytics more accessible and readily deployable.
